Tram line 21 in Zürich
Tram line 21 in Zürich is the Museum Line, a heritage tram service operated by the Zürich Tram Museum using historic vehicles from its collection. It runs on the last weekend of each month, except December, between Burgwies/Tram Museum and Zürich Hauptbahnhof.
Some journeys in the direction of Burgwies continue beyond the museum to Rehalp via Balgrist and Friedhof Enzenbühl, while other services terminate at Burgwies.
Towards Burgwies and Rehalp, line 21 starts from the special Museum Line stop at Usteristrasse and runs along Bahnhofstrasse through Rennweg, Paradeplatz and Kantonalbank to Bürkliplatz. It then crosses Quaibrücke to Bellevue before continuing via Bahnhof Stadelhofen, Kreuzplatz, Signaustrasse, Hegibachplatz, Hedwigsteig and Wetlistrasse to Burgwies, where the Zürich Tram Museum is located.
Some journeys continue beyond Burgwies through Balgrist and Friedhof Enzenbühl to Rehalp.
In the direction of Zürich Hauptbahnhof, services start at Burgwies and follow the route through Wetlistrasse, Hedwigsteig, Hegibachplatz, Signaustrasse, Kreuzplatz and Bahnhof Stadelhofen to Bellevue. From Bellevue, line 21 continues through Zürich's old town via Helmhaus, Rathaus and Rudolf-Brun-Brücke to Central before crossing Bahnhofbrücke to Hauptbahnhof.

Bahnhof Stadelhofen tram stop is located beside Zürich Stadelhofen railway station, providing interchange with suburban rail services. It is also the city terminus of the Forchbahn, whose S18 services share the tram tracks before continuing beyond Zürich towards Forch and Esslingen.

Bellevue is one of Zürich's major public transport hubs, located beside Sechseläutenplatz near the shore of Lake Zürich. The square hosts the annual Sechseläuten festival, famous for the burning of the Böögg, while Bellevue also serves as a starting and finishing point for some of Zürich's special tourist trams, including the Fondue Tram and Märlitram.

Rudolf-Brun-Brücke tram stop is located on Limmatquai beside the bridge from which it takes its name, itself named after Rudolf Brun, Zürich's first mayor. Across the River Limmat are the historic buildings of the Altstadt, with Lindenhof rising above them.
Central is one of Zürich's major public transport interchanges and was known as Leonhardplatz until 1950. Beside the stop is the lower station of the Polybahn funicular, which climbs to the university quarter near ETH Zürich.

Usteristrasse is not served by regular tram services but acts as the city-centre departure point for Museum Line 21 journeys to Burgwies. The stop is located where Usteristrasse meets Bahnhofstrasse.
