The service connects Sarajevo’s historic centre with Hrasnica, sharing the established tram corridor as far as Ilidža before continuing over the extension opened on 27 September 2026. The extension serves Butmir, Sokolović Kolonija and Hrasnica, ending near the former Famos industrial complex.
Trams follow a one-way circuit through central Sarajevo. Journeys from Baščaršija run through Katedrala, Banka and Park, while returning trams follow the riverside route through Skenderija, Pošta, Drvenija, Latinska ćuprija and Vijećnica.
From Baščaršija, the route heads west through Sarajevo’s historic centre, passing the cathedral and continuing along Maršala Tita to Marijin Dvor. It then follows Zmaja od Bosne past the museums and university campus, continuing through the western residential districts towards Ilidža.
Beyond Ilidža, the route follows Butmirska cesta past the Hotel Hills complex and through Butmir. It continues along Hrasnička cesta, serving the university area and Sokolović Kolonija, before following Put Famosa through Hrasnica to the turning loop near the former industrial complex.
Returning trams share the main corridor as far as Marijin Dvor, then take the riverside route along the Miljacka. They pass the main post office, Drvenija Bridge, Latin Bridge and City Hall before reaching Baščaršija.
