Tram line 17 in Zürich runs from Werdhölzli in the north-west of the city to Bucheggplatz, travelling through the industrial districts around Hardturm and Escher-Wyss-Platz before continuing via Limmatplatz, Zürich Hauptbahnhof and Schaffhauserplatz.

Starting at Werdhölzli, line 17 runs through Bändliweg and Grünaustrasse to Tüffenwies before continuing past Hardhof and Hardturm. The line then follows Hardturmstrasse through Bernoulli-Häuser, Fischerweg and Förrlibuckstrasse to Escher-Wyss-Platz.

From Escher-Wyss-Platz, line 17 follows Limmatstrasse through Löwenbräu, Quellenstrasse, Limmatplatz and Museum für Gestaltung to Sihlquai/HB beside Zürich Hauptbahnhof. It then continues north via Stampfenbachplatz, Beckenhof and Kronenstrasse to Schaffhauserplatz, before running through Laubiweg to its terminus at Bucheggplatz.
