Tram line 3 in Graz
Tram line 3 runs between Andritz in northern Graz and Krenngasse in the St. Leonhard district. The 19-stop journey is scheduled to take approximately 22 minutes.
The line connects Graz's northern districts with the historic centre and the southeastern part of the city. Along the way, it serves the University College of Teacher Education Styria, the Schloßbergbahn, Hauptplatz, Jakominiplatz, Graz University of Technology and the Herz-Jesu-Kirche.
Line 3 operates during the daytime from Monday to Saturday. During evenings, Sundays and public holidays, the Krenngasse branch is served by line 23, which runs between Jakominiplatz and Krenngasse.
Starting at Andritz, line 3 runs south through Grazer Straße and Maut Andritz before continuing through Robert-Stolz-Gasse, Carnerigasse, Senior:innenzentrum, Hasnerplatz/Pädagogische Hochschule/tim and Lange Gasse to Keplerbrücke.
The line then follows the eastern bank of the River Mur through Schloßbergbahn and Schloßbergplatz/Murinsel. It enters the historic centre at Hauptplatz/Congress and continues along Herrengasse to Jakominiplatz, the principal interchange on the Graz public transport network.
From Jakominiplatz, line 3 turns southeast through Dietrichsteinplatz and follows Sparbersbachgasse through Mandellstraße, Rechbauerstraße, Herz-Jesu-Kirche and Schillerplatz/tim before terminating at Krenngasse.
