Tram line 20 in Zürich
Line 20 of the Zürich tram system runs between Killwangen, Bahnhof in Kanton Aargau and Bahnhof Altstetten in Zürich.
Line 20 is also known as the Limmattalbahn and is a light rail system that is operated by Aargau Verkehr AG.
After leaving the terminus stop at Killwangen, Bahnhof, the line runs on track beside Bahnhofstrasse, until it turns to the left and then runs underneath the flyover of Zürcherstrasse, until it becomes Landstrasse, where the line continues between the carriageways of the road. The line passes Spreitenbach, West and Spreitenbach, Umwelt Arena until it reaches the Shoppi Tivoli shopping centre, where it goes underneath the building to the Spreitenbach, Shoppi Tivoli stop.
After leaving Spreitenbach, Shoppi Tivoli, the line crosses Zentrumstrasse and runs alongside Industriestrasse to Spreitenbach, IKEA. After leaving Spreitenbach, IKEA, the line continues alongside Industriestrasse, past Spreitenbach, Kreuzäcker until it crosses over Mutschellenstrasse on a bridge, from where it runs on a light rail line until it reaches Dietikon, Maienweg.
After leaving Dietikon, Maienweg, the line crosses Ueberlandstrasse and runs between the carriageways of Badenerstrasse and Zentralstrasse, past Dietikon, Oetwilerstrasse and Dietikon, Zentrum, from where it turns left onto Kirchplatz and Bahnhofplatz to the stop of Dietikon, Bahnhof.
After leaving Dietikon, Bahnhof, the line runs along Poststrasse and then turns left to run along the middle of Zürcherstrasse, past Dietikon, Schäflibach until it reaches Birmensdorferstrasse, where it turns right and runs along Birmensdorferstrasse, past Dietikon, Birmensdorferstrasse, crossing Bernstrasse and then past Urdorf, Urdorf-Nord until it reaches the junction with In der Luberzen, where it turns left to run along In der Luberzen, past Urdorf, Kantiallee to Schlieren, Spital Limmattal.
After leaving Schlieren, Spital Limmattal, the line runs through a tunnel until it emerges onto Badenerstrasse, where it turns right and runs along the middle of Badenerstrasse, past Schlieren, Reitmen and Schlieren, Kesslerplatz, until it reaches Schlieren, Geissweid.
After leaving Schlieren, Geissweid, the line runs along Ringstrasse to Schlieren, Zentrum/Bahnhof and then along Zürcherstrasse , past Schlieren, Wagonsfabrik, Schlieren, Gasometerbrücke, Schlieren, Mülligen, Micafil and Farbhof.
After leaving Farbhof, the line turns left onto Hohlstrasse, and the line runs along the middle of the road, past Seidelhof until it reaches the terminal stop at Bahnhof Altstetten.
