Tram line 17 in Geneva
Tram line 17 in Geneva runs between Lancy-Pont-Rouge, gare in the southwest of Geneva and Annemasse, Parc Montessuit in France. The cross-border route travels through Acacias, Plainpalais and Geneva city centre before continuing through Eaux-Vives, Chêne-Bougeries, Chêne-Bourg, Thônex, Gaillard and Ambilly. The complete journey takes approximately 44 minutes.
Starting at Lancy-Pont-Rouge, gare, line 17 follows a short terminal branch to Lancy-Pont-Rouge, gare/Etoile before continuing along Route des Acacias through Pictet-Thellusson, Industrielle and Acacias. It then crosses the River Arve on Pont des Acacias and serves Uni-Mail and Plainpalais.
From Plainpalais, the line runs through the centre of Geneva via Place de Neuve, Bel-Air and Molard before reaching Rive. It then continues through Terrassière and Villereuse to Genève-Eaux-Vives, gare.
From Genève-Eaux-Vives, gare, line 17 follows Route de Chêne through Amandolier, Grange-Canal, Grangettes and Grange-Falquet. It continues through Chêne-Bourg via Place Favre and Peillonnex before serving Graveson and Moillesulaz in Thônex.
After crossing the border into France at Moillesulaz, the line continues along Rue de Genève through Libération and Millet in Gaillard and Croix-d’Ambilly in Ambilly. It then enters Annemasse and reaches its eastern terminus at Parc Montessuit.

The square contains a cross planted by Saint Francis de Sales in 1597 and was comprehensively redesigned for the arrival of the tramway in December 2019.
