Tram line 17 in Geneva
Tram line 17 in Geneva runs from Lancy-Pont-Rouge, gare in the southwest of the city to Annemasse, Parc Montessuit, west of the city and across the border in France. The entire journey takes about 42 minutes and trams run approximately every 4 or 5 minutes on weekdays, every 6 or 7 minutes on Saturdays and every 10 minutes on Sundays.
From the terminus stop Lancy-Pont-Rouge, gare the line joins Route du Grand-Lancy and runs eastwards and stops at P+R Etoile. From P+R Etoile, the line travels along Route des Acacias, passing Pictet-Thellusson and Industrielle to Acacias.
From Acacias, the line crosses the Arve on Pont des Acacias and travels along Boulevard du Pont-d'Arve, stopping at Uni-Mail. From Uni-Mail, the line turns onto Avenue Henri-Dunant and heads northwards to Plainpalais. From Plainpalais, the line runs north along Rue du Conseil-Général and turning right onto Place de Neuve. From Place de Neuve, the line travels north along Rue de la Corraterie and then turning right onto Rue de la Confédération, crossing Place de la Fusterie and joining Rue du Marché to Molard. From Molard, the line continues along Rue du Marché, Rue de la Croix-d'Or and Rue de Rive to Rive.
From Rive, the line follows Cours de Rive and then Rue de la Terrassière, past Terrassière and Villereuse to Eaux-Vives-Gare. From Eaux-Vives-Gare, the line travels east along Route de Chêne, past Amandolier, Grange-Canal, Grangettes and Grange-Falquet. From Grange-Falquet, the line turns more southeast and travels along Ru de Chêne-Bougeries. to Place Favre, where it continues onto Rue de Genève, past Peillonnex and Graveson to Moillesulaz, which is right on the border between Switzerland and France.
From Moillesulaz, the line continues into France, running eastward along Rue de Genève past Libération, Millet and Croix-d'Ambilly, before turning slightly to the northeast and running along Rue du Parc, to the terminus stop at Parc Montessuit
