About Line 3

Line 3 connects Juvignac, west of Montpellier, with the city centre before continuing south through Lattes and dividing into branches for Lattes Centre and Pérols Étang de l’Or. It serves residential neighbourhoods, Gare Saint-Roch, the developing Port Marianne district and the exhibition and arena complex at Parc Expo.

Opened in April 2012, the line is particularly recognisable for its underwater-themed tram design by Christian Lacroix. The addition of Boirargues station in February 2026 improved access to the surrounding neighbourhood, while the former stop of that name became Soriech.

The Lattes branch provides access to the town centre and the Lattara archaeological site and Henri Prades Museum. The Pérols branch ends inland from the coast, with connecting buses providing onward links to Carnon, La Grande-Motte and Palavas-les-Flots.

Route from Juvignac to Lattes Centre and Pérols Étang de l’Or

From Juvignac, Line 3 crosses the Mosson and reaches Mosson, where it connects with Line 1. It continues through Celleneuve and Montpellier’s western neighbourhoods, passing Hôtel du Département, Jules Guesde and Les Arceaux before approaching the city centre through Plan Cabanes.

The two directions follow different streets around Gambetta. Trams towards Lattes and Pérols serve Gambetta, while those returning towards Juvignac serve Gambetta – Chaptal. The route continues through Observatoire and Gare Saint-Roch – République, then passes Place Carnot and Voltaire before reaching Rives du Lez – Consuls de Mer, Moularès (Hôtel de Ville) and Port Marianne.

Beyond Pablo Picasso, trams continue through Boirargues to Soriech, where the line divides. The Pérols branch serves EcoPôle, Parc Expo and Pérols Centre before terminating at Pérols Étang de l’Or. The shorter Lattes branch turns towards Cougourlude and terminates at Lattes Centre.

The stop list below follows the route from Juvignac to Pérols Étang de l’Or first. The two stops on the Lattes branch are shown separately afterwards, followed by the Juvignac-bound stop at Gambetta – Chaptal.
