Tram line 1 in Sidi Bel Abbès

Tram line 1 in Sidi Bel Abbès runs from Gare Routière Sud in the southwest of the city to Les Cascades in the east of the city.

The details of this route have been obtained by studying Google Maps and the limited information provided by the network operators. Due to the limited information available, it is not possible to be 100% certain that the information provided below and on the route details page are totally accurate. It is possible that there are now 2 lines operating and that not all trams travel the full route between the 2 termini. In particular, the route of the line after it leaves Sidi Djilali is unclear as the line splits, with one way following a loop that rejoins the line just north of Sidi Djilali and the other heading to Abdelhak Ben Hamouda. For the purpose of this page, we are treating the route as one line.

From the terminus stop at Gare Routière Sud, the line runs northeast along Boulevard Houaouria Abdelkader, passing Jardin Publique and crossing a roundabout, before joining Boulevard Colonel Lotfi Boudghaneand traveling in a more easterly direction, stopping at Quatre Horloges. From Quatre Horloges, the line joins Boulevard Emir Abdelkader and continues east, stopping at Emir Abd El Kader and crossing another roundabout to join Boulevard Abane Ramdane and stopping at Adda Boudjellal and Maternité.

From Maternité, the line turns left to head northwest along Boulevard Bendida Mohamed and then Boulevard Oulhaci Mokhtar, stopping at Radio and Cité Houari Boumerdienne. From Cité Houari Boumerdienne, the line heads more northerly, crossing the river and using a dedicated line until it reaches and crosses Rue Merbah Abdelkader and then heads northwest again, passing under Rue Oran to stop at La Daira.

From La Daira, the line continues north along side an unnamed road, until it reaches the tram stop La place El Wiam. From La place El Wiam, the line turns right and travels along an unnamed road, until it reaches a junction and heads north along another unnamed road to Sidi Djilali. From Sidi Djilali, the line heads north until it reaches a roundabout, where the line splits and we head west to AADL.

From AADL, the line continues west a short distance, before turning right just before a roundabout, to head more northerly along an unnamed road, passing Gare Routière Nord, crossing the roundabout for Rocade N and then turning right to head east along another unnamed road. Just before the line reaches the tram depot, it turns left to head north alongside another unnamed road and then left again to head west and stop at La nouvelle Gare Ferroviaire. From La nouvelle Gare Ferroviaire, the line continues west, before turning southwest until it once again crosses Rocade N and heads south along another unnamed road to stop at Campus Universitaire.

From Campus Universitaire, the line continues south along Avenue Kheire Nebia, stopping at Centre En Niaama and then turning left to head along an unnamed road, stopping at Faculté de Droit and L'environnement. After leaving L'environnement, the line turns left and runs along a short section of the line it traveled along earlier, before turning right at the roundabout to head east to Abdelhak Ben Hamouda.

From Abdelhak Ben Hamouda, the line continues east, passing Les frères Adnane and then turning right at the roundabout to head south along the N13, stopping at Gare Routière Est, before continuing south, crossing a roundabout and arriving at the terminus stop Les Cascades.
