Tram systems in Algeria

Algeria is located in the Maghreb region of North Africa and is officially known as the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. Algeria is the 10^th largest country in the world, with an area of 2,381,741km² and the 32^nd most populous, with a population of 42,200,000 (2018 (estimated)). The capital of Algeria is Algiers.

There were once tram systems in around a dozen locations in Algeria, but they were all closed by the late 1950s. The 2010s though has seen a resurgence in tram systems in the country with 6 now in operation in Algiers, Constantine, Oran, Ouargla, Sidi Bel Abbès and Sétif.
