Sidi Bel Abbès's tramway links Gare Routière Sud in the southwest of the city with Les Cascades in the east. It serves the city centre, residential districts, three bus and coach stations and the university area. The full route includes a northern circuit through AADL, Gare Routière Nord and the planned new railway station area.
SETRAM previously advertised alternating services, with every other tram bypassing the northern circuit and taking the direct route between the two termini. The operator also advertised free transfers between Sidi Djilali and L'environnement. We have been unable to verify whether this service pattern still operates. The route described below and the stop list show the full route via the northern circuit.
From Gare Routière Sud, beside the Gare Sakia El Hamra bus and coach station, the tramway heads northeast along Boulevard Houaouria Abdelkader. It serves Jardin Publique before continuing into the city centre to Quatre Horloges, the historic crossroads named for its four clocks.
The line continues east along Boulevard Emir Abdelkader, serving Emir Abd El Kader, then follows Boulevard Abane Ramdane past Adda Boudjellal to Maternité, beside the maternity hospital in Sidi Yacine.
Beyond Maternité, the route turns northwest along Boulevard Bendida Mohamed and Boulevard Oulhaci Mokhtar, serving Radio and Cité Houari Boumedienne. It then follows a dedicated alignment across the River Mekerra and beneath the road towards La Daira.
The tramway continues through La place El Wiam to Sidi Djilali. For the full route described here, it then turns west towards AADL before heading north to Gare Routière Nord. The route continues around the depot area to La nouvelle Gare Ferroviaire, named for the planned new railway station, whose construction and operational status have not been verified.
From La nouvelle Gare Ferroviaire, the line turns southwest, crosses the northern ring road and heads south to Campus Universitaire. It continues along Avenue Kheire Nebia to Centre En Niaama, then turns towards Faculté de Droit and L'environnement.
After L'environnement, the northern circuit rejoins the tramway near the junction north of Sidi Djilali. The route then heads east through Abdelhak Ben Hamouda and Les frères Adnane before turning south alongside the N13. It serves Gare Routière Est and continues to the terminus at Les Cascades.
