Oran’s single tram line links Es Senia, south of the city, with Sidi Maarouf on the eastern side of the urban area. Opened in May 2013 and operated by SETRAM, it passes through the city centre at Place 1er Novembre.
The route serves university campuses, residential districts and major public facilities, including the 1er Novembre 1954 university hospital. Gare SNTF provides access to Oran’s main railway station, while the eastern terminus is close to a bus station and the Haï Es Sabah railway halt.
From Es Senia Université, the line heads north through Es Senia, serving its centre before passing the Taleb Mourad Salim university campus and the former ENSET, now the École Nationale Polytechnique d’Oran – Maurice Audin.
Continuing towards central Oran, trams pass Jardin Othmania and the Hai El Badr student residences before reaching Palais des Sports and Ghaouti. The route then serves the market district of Medina Djadida and continues through Place Mokrani to Place 1er Novembre, beside the town hall and regional theatre.
The line turns east through Emir Abdelkader and Gare SNTF, then continues through the El Makkary area. At Hammou Mokhtar Les Castors, the stop sits below street level in the open centre of the Dar El Beïda roundabout.
Further east, the route passes the Abdelhamid Ibn Badis Mosque, the courthouse and the Trois Cliniques junction. It then serves Cité USTO, the 1er Novembre 1954 university hospital and the University of Science and Technology of Oran Mohamed Boudiaf.
Beyond USTO-Bifurcation, trams continue through Yasmine and Hai Sabah before passing the tram depot and reaching Gare Routière de Sidi Maarouf.
