Tram line L1 in Sydney
Line L1 of the Sydney tram system runs between Central Station in the Center of the city and Dulwich Hill in the southwest of the city. The entire journey takes about 36 minutes and there are trams every 5 - 12 minutes during the week, every 10 - 15 minutes on Saturdays and every 15 minutes on Sundays.
After leaving the terminus stop at Central Station Light Rail, the line joins Railway Colonade Drive and runs north to the junction with Hay Street, where it turns left and runs west along Hay Street, calling at Capitol Square Light Rail and Paddy's Markets Light Rail.
From Paddy's Markets Light Rail, the line continues a short distance along Hay Street until it crosses Darling Drive, where it turns right and runs northwest alongside Darling Drive, calling at the Exhibition Centre Light Rail and Convention Centre Light Rail stops. After leaving Convention Centre Light Rail, the line enters a tunnel that takes it in a loop underneath the Pyrmont area of the city. The line cals at Pyrmont Bay Light Rail and The Star Light Rail, both of which are underground. The line briefly emerges above ground between Point Street and Harris Street before entering another tunnel and calling at John Street Square Light Rail.
After leaving John Street Square Light Rail, the line heads underground again and turns in a more southernly direction, before emerging above ground again and running southeast between Jones Street and Saunders Street, until it reaches Fish Market Light Rail.
From Fish Market Light Rail, the line runs underneath the elevated Western Distributor to Wentworth Park Light Rail, before passing over Wattle Street and crossing the northern end of Wentworth Park and then running parrallel with Bridge Lane to Glebe Light Rail. After leaving Glebe Light Rail, the line heads underground again, running roughly northwest until it emerges at Jubilee Park Light Rail.
From Jubilee Park Light Rail, the line runs around the southern edge of Jubilee Park and the end of Rozell Bay to Rozelle Bay Light Rail. From Rozelle Bay Light Rail, the line heads southwest, running roughly alongside City-West Link Road, calling at Lilyfield Light Rail and Leichhardt North Light Rail, before running alongside Darley Road and calling at Hawthorne Light Rail and Marion Light Rail.
From Marion Light Rail, the line runs south/southwest seperate from the roads, calling at Taverners Hill Light Rail, Lewisham West Light Rail, Waratah Mills Light Rail, Arlington Light Rail and Dulwich Grove Light Rail, before eventually reaching the terminus stop at Dulwich Hill Light Rail.
