Line 82 of the Melbourne tram system runs between Footscray Station in Footscray and Moonee Ponds Junction & Pascoe Vale Road in Moonee Ponds, to the north of the city. The entire journey takes about 32 minutes and there are trams every 10 - 15 minutes during the week and every 15 minutes at weekends.
After leaving the terminus stop Footscray Station, the line runs north along Leeds Street to Footscray Market, where it turns left onto Hopkins Street and runs to Nicholson Street & Hopkins Street, where it turns right and runs north west along Droop street, calling at Geelong Road & Droop Street, Tiernan Street & Droop Street and Droop Street & Ballarat Road.
From Droop Street & Ballarat Road, the line turns left on to Ballarat Road and runs along it to the juntion with Gordon Street, where it turns right and runs north, calling at Ballarat Road & Gordon Street, Titch Street & Gordon Street, Edgewater Boulevard & Gordon Street, Lyric Street & Gordon Street and Gordon Street & River Street, where it turns left to run west along River Street.
After calling at Maribyrnong Secondary College and River Street & Rosamond Road, the line turns right to run north, parallel with Rosamond Road, calling at Highpoint Shopping Centre & Rosamond Road, before turning left to run west along Williamson Road, calling at Williamson Road and Waterford Avenue & Wests Road, before turning right to run parallel with Wests Road and calling at Wests Road & Raleigh Road.
From Wests Road & Raleigh Road, the line continues north until ir reaches the junction with Raleigh Road, where it stops at Wests Road & Raleigh Road, before running east along Raleigh Road, calling at Rosamond Road & Raleigh Road, Randall Street & Raleigh Road, Barb Street & Raleigh Road, Van Ness Avenue & Raleigh Road and Clyde Street & Raleigh Road before crossing the Maribyrnong river.
After crossing the Maribyrnong river, the line continues east along Maribyrnong Road, calling at Maribyrnong Park & Maribyrnong Road, Epsom Road & Maribyrnong Road, Bowen Street & Maribyrnong Road, Hotham Street & Maribyrnong Road and Union Road & Maribyrnong Road. After leaving Union Road & Maribyrnong Road, the line continues along Maribyrnong Road, calling at Bayview Terrace & Maribyrnong Road, Moore Street & Maribyrnong Road and Ascot Vale Road & Maribyrnong Road.
From Ascot Vale Road & Maribyrnong Road, the line turns left and runs north along Ascot Vale Road, calling at Chaucer Street & Ascot Vale Road, before continuing along Ascot Vale Road to the terminus stop at Moonee Ponds Junction & Pascoe Vale Road.
