From Through Street & Riversdale Road, the line continues a short distance along Riversdale Road until it reaches Riversdale Junction, from where it continues west along Wallen Road and then Swan Street, crossing the Yarra River and calling at Yarra Boulevard & Swan Street, before heading in a more southeasterly direction to Madden Grove & Swan Street and then heads east along Swan Street, calling at Park Grove & Swan Street, Stawell Street & Swan Street, Burnley Station & Swan Street, Edinburgh Street & Swan Street, Coppin Street & Swan Street, East Richmond Station, Swan St Shopping Centre, Lennox Street & Swan Street and Richmond Station & Swan Street.
From Richmond Station & Swan Street, the line continues along Swan Street as it becomes Olympic Boulevard and then turns right to head north to AAMI Park. From AAMI Park, the line turns left and heads northwest alongside the railway tracks, calling at MCG - Hisense Arena and Rod Laver Arena. From Rod Laver Arena, the line turns left under William Barak Bridge, stopping at the William Barak Bridge & Batman Ave stop and then running northwest along Batman Avenue and over Batman Avenue Bridge to the junction with Flinders Street, where it turns left onto Flinders Street.
