Line 57 of the Melbourne tram system runs between Central Park Avenue & Cordite Avenue in Maribyrnong, to the northwest of the city and Flinders Street Station - Elizabeth Street. The entire journey takes about 44 minutes and there are trams every 6 - 8 minutes during the week and every 8 - 20 minutes at the weekend.
After leaving the terminus stop Central Park Avenue & Cordite Avenue, the line runs east along Cordite Avenue until it joins Raleigh Road, the line then runs along Raleigh Road, stopping at Wests Road & Raleigh Road, Rosamond Road & Raleigh Road, Randall Street & Raleigh Road, Barb Street & Raleigh Road, Van Ness Avenue & Raleigh Road and Clyde Street & Raleigh Road before crossing the Maribyrnong river.
After crossing the Maribyrnong river, the line continues east along Maribyrnong Road, calling at Maribyrnong Park & Maribyrnong Road, Epsom Road & Maribyrnong Road, Bowen Street & Maribyrnong Road, Hotham Street & Maribyrnong Road and Union Road & Maribyrnong Road. After leaving Union Road & Maribyrnong Road, the line turns right and runs south along Union Road, stopping at St Leonards Road & Union Road, Bloomfield Road & Union Road, Burrowes Street & Union Road and Melbourne Showgrounds & Union Road.
Shortly after leaving Melbourne Showgrounds & Union Road, the line turns left to head southeast along Epsom road, calling at Sandown Road & Epsom Road, Racing Victoria & Epsom Road and Flemington Racecourse. After leaving Flemington Racecourse, the line continues along Epsom Road, until it reaches Racecourse Road, which it turns left on to and runs east, calling at Ascot Vale Road & Racecourse Road, Smithfield Road & Racecourse Road, Newmarket Station & Racecourse Road, Wellington Street & Racecourse Road, Victoria Street & Racecourse Road, Stubbs Street & Racecourse Road and Boundary Road & Racecourse Road.
From Boundary Road & Racecourse Road, the line continues east until it reaches the junction with Flemington Road, which it turns right onto and runs southeast, calling at Melrose Street & Flemington Road and then when it reaches Abbotsford Street Interchange, turning right and running south along Abbotsford Street, calling at Chapman Street & Abbotsford Street, Molesworth Street & Abbotsford Steet, Haines Street & Abbotsford Steet, Arden Street & Abbotsford Steet and Queensberry Street & Abbotsford Steet.
After Queensberry Street & Abbotsford Steet, the line turns left and runs east along Queensberry Street, passing Curzon Street & Queensberry Steet and North Melbourne Town Hall & Errol Steet, where it turns right again and runs south along Errol Street, calling at Victoria Street & Errol Steet, from where it turns left and runs east once again alojg Victora Street, calling at Chetwynd Street & Victoria Steet, Howard Street & Victoria Steet and Peel Street & Victoria Steet.
After leaving Peel Street & Victoria Steet, the line continues along Victiora Street until it reaches the junction with Elizabeth Street, where it turns right to run southeast down Elizabeth Street, calling at Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne Central Station & Elizabeth Street, Bourke Street Mall & Elizabeth Street, Collins Street & Elizabeth Street and the terminus stop Flinders Street Station.
