Tram line G:link in Gold Coast
The G:link light rail system in Gold Coast runs between Helensvale to the north of the city and Broadbeach South. The entire journey takes about 45 minutes and there are trains every 7 or 8 minutes during the week and every 10 minutes at weekends.
From the terminus at Helensvale Station, the line runs south, initially running alongside the main line station, until it reaches Smith Street, where it turns slightly left to stop at Parkwood. From Parkwood, the line runs alongside the Smith Street Onramp, in a southeasterly direction, until it reaches the Smith Street Motorway, from where it runs eat alongside the motorway to Parkwood East.
From Parkwood East, the line continues east alongside the Smith Street Motorway, until it reaches Olsen Avenue, where it turns left and runs northeast alongside Olsen Avenue, until it reaches the junction with Parklands Drive, where it turns right and runs along Parklands Drive to stop at Gold Coast University Hospital. From Gold Coast University Hospital, the line continues along Parklands Drive, past Griffith University, crossing Smith Street Motorway on a bridge. The line caries on in an easterly direction, passing the network's depot, before turning right to head south alongside Wardo Street, before turning left to join Queen Street and stop at Queen Street station.
From Queen Street station, the line continues east along Queen Street, until it reaches the junction with Nerang Street, where it turns left and runs along Nerang Street, stopping at Nerang Street and Southport Stations. Just after Southport Station, the line turns right and starts to run south along Scarborough Street, stopping at Southport South, before turning left onto Queen Street and stopping at Broadwater Parklands.
From Broadwater Parklands, the line turns right and runs south alongside Gold Coast Highway, crossing Nerang River and stopping at Main Beach. From Main Beach, the line continues alongside Gold Coast Highway until it reaches Surfers Paradise Boulevard, where it starts to run alongside the Boulevard, stopping at Surfers Paradise North, Cypress Avenue and Cavill Avenue.
From Cavill Avenue, the line continues alongside Surfers Paradise Boulevard, stopping at Surfers Paradise and Northcliffe, until it once again joins Gold Coast Highway and runs along the center of it, stopping at Florida Gardens and Broadbeach North. From Broadbeach North, the line continues south, moving away from the center of the highway to run alongside it, until it reaches the terminus stop at Broadbeach South.
