Tram line 3 in Zürich

About Line 3

Tram line 2 in Zürich runs between the terminus stops of Albisrieden, which is at the foot of the Uetliberg and Klusplatz, which is situated in the south east of the city. The entire journey takes about 31 minutes and on week days and Saturday, there is a tram every 7 or 8 minutes during peak times, rising to every 10 every minutes on Sunday.

Route of Zürich line 3

Starting at Albisrieden, the line runs through the village area of Albisrieden, passing the Siemens complex and the stop named after it, before arriving at Albisriderplatz, where the line joins with tram line 2 to Stauffacher. After Staufacher, the line turns left and runs alongside the Sihl towards the main station and the stops of Sihlpost, Löwenstrasse and Bahnhofplatz. From Bahnhofplatz, the line crosses the Limmat to Central and then runs along Seilergraben to Kunsthaus and from their, along Hottingerstrasse and Asylstrasse to the terminus at Klusplatz.

Albisrieden

Situated at the foot of the Uetliberg and named after the surrounding district, Albisrieden has an almost village charm to it, with the turning circle surrounding an area of allotments. The stop is the terminus of tram line 3 and an interchange for bus 80 and night bus N13.

Fellenbergstrasse

Fellenbergstrasse is located in the present day center of the Quartier Albisrieden and the stop is situated outside the Sozialzentrum Albisriederhaus. The stop is an interchange for tram line 3 and bus line 67.

Named after the large Siemens complex that it serves, this is an intermediate stop on tram line 3.

The Bezirksgebäude tram stop, which serves tram lines 2 and 3 and night bus N14 is situated outside the Bezirksgebäude (district building) after which it is named.
