Tram line 2 in Zürich
Tram line 2 in Zürich runs between the terminus stops of Farbhof, which is near Altstetten and Bahnhof Tiefenbrunnen, which is on the shore of Lake Zürich, to the south east of the city. The entire journey takes about 33 minutes and on week days and Saturday, there is a tram every 7 or 8 minutes during peak times, rising to every 10 every minutes on Sunday.
Starting at Farbhof, the line runs along Badenerstrasse, towards the centre of the city, passing Stadion Letzigrund and Albisriderplatz, before crossing the River Sihl just after the stop at Stauffacher and travelling down Talacker to the major tram interchange at Paradeplatz. From Paradeplatz, the line turns right and proceeds down the lower part of Bahnhofstrasse towards the lake and the interchange with the lake boat services at Bürkliplatz. From Bürkliplatz, the line crosses the River Limmat to the interchange at Bellevue and then runs along the side of Sechseläutenplatz, before travelling down Seefeldstrasse, past a number of smaller stops to its final destination at Bahnhof Tiefenbrunnen.

The Farbhof terminus is in the middle of a roundabout, with a waiting area including a kiosk and toilets and a small lawn in the center. The stop is in a residential area in Zurich's Kreis 9 and is an interchange for tram line 2, bus lines 31 and 35 as well as the night bus N2.
Bachmattstrasse is an intermediate stop on tram line 2 in a residential area.
Lindenplatz tram stop is in front of the open paved square that is surrounded on the other three sides by shops and a hotel. Lindenplatz is an interchange for tram line 2 and bus lines 35, 78 and 89, as well as night bus N13.
Grimselstrasse is an intermediate stop on tram line 2 in a residential area.
Kapelli is an interchange between tram line 2 and bus lines 83 and 89, although the bus and tram stops are a short distance apart.

Although this stop has been recently renamed as Kalkbreite/Bhf. Wiedikon, it is a 5 minute or so walk away from Bahnhof Wiedikon. The stop is located next to the impressive buildings of the "Genossenschaft Kalkbreite" (Kalkbreite Cooperative). The stop serves tram lines 2 and 3, bus line 32 and night bus N14.
The Bezirksgebäude tram stop, which serves tram lines 2 and 3 and night bus N14 is situated outside the Bezirksgebäude (district building) after which it is named.
Stauffacher is one of the Zürich tram systems main hubs, serving 5 different lines. Tram lines 2, 3, 9 and 14 run along Badenerstrasse and Line 8 crosses them, running along Stauffacherstrasse.
