Tram line 11 in Zürich
Tram line 11 in Zürich runs between the terminus stops of Rehalp, which is in the southeast of the city and Auzelg, which is on the northern outskirts. The entire journey takes about 47 minutes and on week days and Saturday, there is a tram every 7 or 8 minutes during peak times, rising to every 15 every minutes on Sunday.
Starting from the terminus at Rehalp, tram line 11 first follows Forchstrasse towards the city. The line passes a number of intermediate stops, including Burgweis where the Zürich Tram Museum can be found housed in old tram sheds, to Kreuzplatz. From Kreuzplatz, the line follows Kreuzbühlstrasse to Stadelhoferplatz and the Bahnhof Stadelhofen tram stop. From Bahnhof Stadelhofen, line 11 turns right and runs along the side of Sechseläutenplatz to Bellevue and then across Quaibrücke to Bürkliplatz, before turning right and running up Bahnhofstrasse to Paradeplatz. From Paradeplatz, the line continues up bahnhofstrasse, before turning right in Bahnhofplatz and left to Bahnhofquai / HB.
From Bahnhofquai / HB, the line crosses Walchebrücke and follows Walchestrasse to Stampfenbachplatz, from where it continues along Stampfenbachstrasse, until it arrives at Schaffhauserplatz. From Schaffhauserplatz, the line follows Hofweisenstrasse to the major interchange at Bucheggplatz. From Bucheggplatz, the line continues along Hofweisenstrasse to Bahnhof Oerlikon. From Bahnhof Oerlikon, the line turns right and travels the short distance to Sternen Oerlikon, where it turns left and heads down Wallisellenstrasse, before turning left at Messe / Hallenstadion and joining Thurgauerstrasse. The line follows Thurgauerstrasse, until it reaches Glattpark, where it turns right and follows Glattparkstrasse, past Fernsehstudio, until it arrives at the terminus stop, Auzelg.
