Tram line M3 in Lausanne
Line M3 in Lausanne will be a fully automated underground line running from Ouchy-Olympique on the shores of Lac Léman to Blécherette in the north of the city. The line is currently under construction and due to open in 2025. The details on this page are taken from the information on the line that was publicly available at the time of writing. The location of the 6 new stops on the line have been estimated based on maps and may well not be totally accurate.
From the terminus stop at Ouchy-Olympique, the line will run northbound, passing under Rue du Liseronis, before running parallel with Chemin du Funiculaire to Jordils. From Jordils, the line will carry on in the same direction, initially running below Prom. de la Ficelle, past Délices and Grancy and underneath the main station to the stop at Lausanne-Gare. From Lausanne-Gare, the line will continue in the same direction until it arrives at Lausanne-Flon. From Lausanne-Flon, the line will turn left to head west to the stop at Chauderon, before turning right to head north again to stop at Beaulieu and Casernes, before turning in a more northwesterly direction to call at Plaines-du-Loop, before arriving at the terminus at Blécherette.
