Tram line 12 in Geneva
Tram line 12 in Geneva runs from Palettes in the southwest of the city to Moillesulaz, which is on the French border to the east of the city. The entire journey takes about 42 minutes and trams run approximately every 7 or 8 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays and every 10 minutes on Sundays.
From the terminus stop at Palettes, the line runs south alongside Avenue des Communes-Réunies, past Pontets and crossing Route de Saint-Julien, where it turns left and stops at Trèfle-Blanc, before running northeast alongside Route de Saint-Julien. After passing Bachet-de-Pesay, De-Staël and Carouge-Rondeau, the line follows Rue Ancienne to Marché. From Marché, the line follows Rue Saint-Victor, before turning right onto Rue du Pont-Neuf and stopping at Armes. From Armes, the line follows Rue du Pont-Neuf, crosses Place de l'Octroi and turns right to cross the Arve on Pont de Carouge.
After crossing the river, the line follow Rue de Carouge past Blanche and Augustines to Pont-d'Arve. From Pont-d'Arve, the line continues along Rue de Carouge to Plainpalais, before continuing north along Rue du Conseil-Général and turning right onto Place de Neuve. From Place de Neuve, the line travels north along Rue de la Corraterie and then turning right onto Rue de la Confédération, crossing Place de la Fusterie and joining Rue du Marché to Molard. From Molard, the line continues along Rue du Marché, Rue de la Croix-d'Or and Rue de Rive to Rive.
From Rive, the line follows Cours de Rive and then Rue de la Terrassière, past Terrassière and Villereuse to Roches. From Roches, the line travels east along Route de Chêne, past Amandolier, Grange-Canal, Grangettes and Grange-Falquet. From Grange-Falquet, the line turns more southeast and travels along Ru de Chêne-Bougeries. to Place Favre, where it continues onto Rue de Genève, past Peillonnex and Graveson to the terminus stop at Moillesulaz, which is right on the border between Switzerland and France.
