Tram line 9 in Bern
Tram line 9 in Bern runs from Wabern in the south of Bern to Wankdorf Bahnhof in the north. The entire journey takes about 28 minutes and there is a tram every 6 minutes on weekdays, every 7 minutes on Saturdays and every 7 or 8 minutes on Sundays.
From the terminus stop of Wabern, the line initially travels north along Seftigenstrasse, until it reaches Monbijoustrasse, which it turns right on to and travels along, past the stops of Wander, Sulgenau and Monbijou until it becomes Hirschengraben. From Hirschengraben, the line turns right on to Bubenbergplatz and to Bern Bahnhof. After leaving Bern Bahnhof, the line enters Bern's old town and travels down Spitgasse, past Pfeiferbrunnen and Käfigturm, where the ling goes through a tunnel under the tower and continues down Marktgasse, until it reaches Zytglogge, where the line turns left onto Kornhausplatz.
The line crosses Kornhausplatz and joins Kornhausebrücke as it crosses the river Aare and then onto Kornhausstrasse to the stop at Kursaal. From Kursaal, the line continues along Kornhausstrasse, across Viktoriaplatz and on to Moserstrasse, until it reaches Breitenrainplatz and the stop of Breitenrain. From Breitenrain, the line joins Rodtmattstrasse, until it reaches Guisanplatz Expo, where the line turns left onto Papiermühlestrasse, past Wankdorf Center, until it reaches Wankdorfplatz, where it turns left onto Winkelriedstrasse and then right onto Wankdorffeldstrasse and the terminus stop at Wankdorf Bahnhof.
