Tram line 7 in Bern
Tram line 7 in Bern runs from Bümpliz in the west of Bern to Ostring in the east. The entire journey takes about 29 minutes and there is a tram every 7 or 8 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays and every 10 minutes on Sundays.
From the terminus stop of Bümpliz, the tram follows Bottigenstrasse towards the city, until it reaches Bümpliz, Bachmätteli. From Bümpliz, Bachmätteli, the line follows Bernstrasse to Bümpliz, Unterführung, from where it joins Freiburgstrasse and travels to Bern Europaplatz, Bahnhof. From Bern Europaplatz, Bahnhof, the line continues along Freiburgstrasse and onto Schlossstrasse to Lorzplatz. From Loryplatz, the line joins Effingerstrasse and runs past Kaufmännischer Verband, until it reaches Hirschengraben, where it turns left, to travel up Hirschengraben. After leaving Hirschengraben, the line turns right on to Bubenbergplatz and to Bern Bahnhof.
After leaving Bern Bahnhof, the line enters Bern's old town and travels down Spitgasse, past Pfeiferbrunnen and Käfigturm, where the ling goes through a tunnel under the tower and continues down Marktgasse, until it reaches Zytglogge, where the line turns right, through Theaterplatz and Casinoplatz and crosses the river Aare over Kirchenfeldbrücke to Helvetiaplatz. From Helvetiaplatz, the line travels down Thunstrasse to Thunplatz. From Thunplatz, the line continues along Thunstrasse, past Brunnadernstrasse, until it reaches the roundabout where Thunstrasse, Muristrasse and Ostring meet. From the roundabout, the line travels along Ostring, past Sonnenhof to the terminus stop at Ostring.
