Tram line 17 in Basel
Tram line 17 in Basel runs from Wiesenplatz in the north of the city to Ettingen to the souch of the city and is operated by Baselland Transport AG (BLT). The entire journey takes about 35 minutes and there is a tram every 7 or 8 minutes. The line only runs a limited service during the rush hours on weekdays and also on Saturdays.
From Wiesenplatz, the line runs south along Gärtnerstrasse, past Ciba and on to Klybeckstrasse, past Dreirosenbrücke, Bläsiring, Feldbergstrasse to Kaserne. From Kaserne, the line runs down Untere Rebgasse to Claraplatz, where it turns right onto Greifengasse and crosses the Rhine on Mittlere Brücke to Schifflände. From Schifflände, the line travels along Marktgasse, past Marktplatz and on to Gerbergasse and Falknerstrasse to Barfüsserplatz. From Barfüsserplatz, the line travels down Theaterstrasse, past Theater and then down Steinentorstrasse to Heuwaage.
From Heuwaage, the line runs alongside Binningerstrasse, past Zoo to Dorenbach. From Dorenbach, the line runs alongside Baslerstrasse, past Binningen Oberdorf to Binningen Schloss. From Schloss, the line runs alongside Botmingerstrasse, past Bottmingermühle to Batteriestrasse. From Batteriestrasse, the line runs south alongside Baslerstrasse to Bottmingen Schloss. Brom Bottmingen Schloss, the line runs southwest, past Stallen, Oberwil Zentrum and Hüslimatt. From Hüslimatt, the line runs south, past Therwil Zentrum and Känelmatt to the terminus stop at Ettingen Bahnhof.
