About China

China is formally known as the People's Republic of Chinaand occupies a large part of East Asia. China is the 3rd largest country in the world, with an area of 9,596,961km2 and the most populous, with a population of 1,403,500,365 (2016 (estimate)). China is comprised of 22 provinces , five autonomous regions, four municipalities and the special administrative regions of Macau and Hong Kogn. Its capital is Beijing.

Trams in China

In the past, China had few tram systems in the distant past, with only a handful in existance in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, but a number have opened in the last decade. Currently, there are trams in 15 cities, Anren, Beijing, Changchun, Dalian, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Huai'an, Nanjing, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Tianjin and Zhuhai
