Tram systems in Ethiopia

Ethiopia is officially known as the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and is a landlocked country, located in northeast africa. Ethiopia is bordered by Eritrea to the north, Djibouti to the northeast, and Somalia to the east, Sudan to the northwest, South Sudan to the west, and Kenya to the south. Ethiopia is the 26^th largest country in the world, with an area of 1,104,300km² and the 12^th most populous, with a population of 102,403,196. Ethiopia's capital is Addis Ababa, which is also the most populous city in the country.

There were no tram or light rail systems in Ethiopia prior to the introduction of the system in Addis Ababa in 2015 and it is still the only system in the country.
